You are leaving out too much information. As it is asked, no one can adequately answer this question.

If you are a party to a lawsuit or a defendant in a criminal case, you do not have to know any of the terms. Your attorney will handle it. When you have questions, ask him or her.

When you provide information, you may get clearer responses.

There is no 'brief' glossary. As to the terms being used, it would also depend on what type of court you were in and what type of case was being heard. In law not much is 'brief', not even a brief.
