causes problems between teach and kid
between kid and parent. Requires detentions to punish children who fail to do it. Requires teachers to waste time supervising detentions, chasing up the kids that don't attend and further detentions. Then you find that most kids copy each others homework anyway because they cant do it at home because the teacher is not there!
So it really makes kids enjoy learning - you go to school for 7 hrs a day to learn then they come home and have to do more ! when do they have time to be kids and learn social skills, motor skills, play games - to avoid educated minds in uneducated bodies (Aristotle)
